Snow at Last

We never get snow in Pembrokeshire, its a known fact. The last time we had any serious snow was 1982 when I was a sweet innocent child of 18!! All day yesterday I watched the news as the rest of the country ground to a stand still under a deluge of the white fluffy stuff.

I was regaled with stories of snow in Manchester, Newcastle, Hastings and even Canvey bloody Island!! I gazed longingly at photos of the stuff on other peoples blogs, and all the while here in Pembrokeshire the sky was blue and the sun shone brightly. Under normal circumstances I would have been happy to have such a glorious day in dark and dismal February, but I wanted SNOW!!...... I love SNOW.... why wouldn't it SNOW!!

Then finally about 10pm last night it began, but it was dark and I had gone to bed. However when I woke up this morning at the ungodly hour of 6am, it was to a white world, a magical winter wonderland yes finally SNOW!!

Not to waste the opportunity I joined Noel in the hot tub, where we sat and drank coffee and laughed at the cats trying to walk in the snow. Henry and Skittles have never seen snow before.

Later on I decided to go for a walk down towards the mine depot and took the following photos. There are more on my Facebook for those who are interested.

The garden and back of the house

The front garden

The Hot tub, Chimenire and garden furniture
Unfortunately now it has started to rain and sleet and the snow is rapidly disappearing, but it was lovely while it lasted.
